Theme: Celebration of Life Entries are images celebrating any appreciation of life, especially expressions of optimism, exuberance, and inspiration. About the "Celebration of Life" Photography Contest 2010 The "Celebration of Life" Photography Contest is a showcase for new and emerging artists. Winners of the competition will be featured in exhibition at local galleries in Louisville, Kentucky and will be eligible for prizes and awards. The contest is open to all photographers, both professional and amateur, age 18 and above. Winning works will be displayed in local galleries, throughout the year. Prizes are awarded to the top 16 winning entries, with special recognition for the top 4. Each winning entry is custom framed for display. The top 4 winners receive a prize package of photo related gifts, valued at $75 or more. Each entry in the contest receives a certificate of appreciation. The top 16 photos will be featured on this website. Winners are chosen in a blind judging by a panel of artists, celebrities and professional photographers. In 2008 the Celebration of Life Photo contest received more than 1800 entries from all over the United States, as well as Canada, Mexico, India and Italy. Contest Details

Deadline for 2010 Entries. New extension of the deadline March 20, 2010. Entry Form Entry Information Framing and Exhibition: The sixteen winning images will be matted and framed by a professional framer and each winner will receive a certificate suitable for display to certify their win. The sixteen winners will be displayed as a group in several galleries on a rotating basis for a one year (12 month) period. Judging: Entries will be reviewed by a panel of artists, photographers, and art enthusiasts in a blind judging. The Judges Panel will issue the certificates identifying winning entries, and these entries will be featured in all publicity materials generated in support of the contest, including this website. Internet & Gallery Promotion: The 16 winning prints will be featured on the "Celebration of Life" web site. Past winners are archived on the site, with a goal of publishing a book of winning entries in 2010. The 16 winning photos are also displayed in gallery exhibits throughout the Louisville area over the year following the announcement of the winners.
