Entry Information Eligibility The competition is open to all photographers, both amateur and professional and national and international. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to enter. Theme: "CELEBRATION OF LIFE" Entries should be images celebrating any appreciation of life. Expressions of optimism, exuberance, and inspiration are encouraged. (No nudes accepted.) Image Presentation: Prints Only Minimum size 8 X 10 to maximum of 11X14. Images may be in color or black and white. Each print must be numbered and labeled with artists name and title of work, plus suggested price, if you are interested in offering the work for sale. Adhesive labels applied to the back are strongly suggested to prevent transfer of information through the front of the print. (Please do not use post-it notes.) Images should be submitted unmated. The sixteen chosen images will be matted and framed by a professional frame shop. The winners will be displayed as a group in several galleries on a rotating basis for the year after the contest winners are announced. Entry Fee There is a $25 entry fee for the first three prints and $5 for each additional print. (Additional entries will require additional entry forms.) Make your check or money order in U.S. funds, drawn on a U.S. Bank, payable to "Celebration of Life" Photography Contest. Notification Winners will be notified once judging has concluded. Notification will be made by e-mail or by snail mail if requested. Winners are encouraged to submit names and addresses (up to 25 per artist) to receive announcements about the contest. Return Of Materials A self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) must be included with sufficient postage for the return of materials. Metered mail is not acceptable. Artists outside the US may include international reply coupons instead of stamps, or may add return postage cost to their entry fee at a rate of $.80 US per ounce of mail. Ensure that your materials fit easily inside your return envelope and you have enough postage. Return of materials is not guaranteed without sufficient postage and return mail materials. Commission There will be a 35% commission on any sales made during the exhibition or off the web site during the one year promotion. The "Celebration of Life" Photography Contest will not claim any rights to commission on works sold independently by the artist or through other galleries or venues during the promotional period. Deadline The final postmarked deadline is the last day of February. All entries must be postmarked by that date.
