Judges Panel




The panel for the Celebration of Life Photography contest will be done by a panel made up of artists, photographers, and art enthusiasts.




Lloyd Kelly

Lloyd Kelly is a painter of landscapes, still life, equestrian subjects, flowers and occasionally nudes. He is a member of National Arts Club of New York City, Arts Club of Washington, D.C., Artists Fellowship, Inc. in New York and American Academy of Equine Art. Kelly has exhibited extensively in the United States and throughout the world, including pieces in several U.S. embassies. He was a commissioned artist for Woodford Reserves Kentucky Derby commemorative bottle and poster, served on the board of directors for Kentucky Museum of Arts + Design and was a commissioned artist from 1997-2000 for Louisville Stoneware Company.


Barry Bernson

News Anchor Barry Bernson is featured on
Fox in The Morning, Louisville's only all local morning newscast.  Barry presents the latest breaking news in Louisville as well as keeping Kentuckiana up to date on area events. In 1964, Barry began his journalism career in radio and newspapers in his home town of Pompton Lakes, NJ. Since that time, Barry has won three EMMY awards and the "Best Morning Host Award" from Louisville Magazine. He has also won the feature category of the Metro Louisville Journalism Awards multiple times.

Jon Freels

Jon Freels is owner/manager of
Regalo. He has been buying and selling art for the last 3 1/2 years, working closely with local emerging artists and photographers.


J.D. Dotson

J.D. Dotson is also one of the owners of
Regalo, as well as an accomplished artist. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Art and has been teaching Art at Providence High School for the past 8 years.


Bill Bench

Bill Bench has ten years of photography experience. He has taken photos for Salem Speedway and the Salem Speedway News. Bill has had published works in several magazines such as Vintage Guitars, Louisville Music News and National Speedsport News. Bill has also done Unknown Hinson's press kit.



Josh McNally

Josh McNally has been a photographer most of his life. He was brought up in Kentucky, and has traveled the nation and the world extensively, experiencing and perfecting his art. McNally is cross-trained in all forms of visual media, which influence all facets of his work. He conducts seminars of photographic technique and composition, with new sessions beginning soon. McNallys work has been featured in shows in Chicago, Louisville, Dayton and Cincinnati. I try to open a new visual universe for all to appreciate. My photographs are not just images, but art, explains McNally, who focuses on angles and contours in his work, uncovering new beauty in familiar landmarks and objects. His images force a focus on form that allows the viewer to experience the world in new ways. McNally works in both Black and White and color, with a wide variety of subjects. Josh McNally
